Outside of sales, the Mortar is a Level 75 tower with a gamepass cost of 700, lower in Robux compared to the Turret which is a Level 50 tower with a gamepass cost of 800. The Mortar can be an effective tower in maps like Harbor and Marshlands as you can stack the Mortar to maximize the cliff spaces. The Mortar's low placement cap may prove to be a hinderance in gamemodes with harder enemies. While it can detect flying enemies, because of its projectile speed and the fact that the explosion happens on the ground, the flying enemy will be dealt very little damage. In Hardcore mode, the Mortar can be used to kill hordes of lead enemies. Because of this, it can be useful against hordes of enemies with defense, like Heavies, Abnormal Bosses or Giant Bosses. #LIFE IS FEUDAL WIKI MORTAR FULL#
This tower completely ignores defense, dealing the full damage to the enemy. An explosion may indirectly damage a hidden enemy, provided a detectable enemy is close enough. You will have to use other towers for an effective hidden defense. The Mortar cannot detect hidden enemies. One slight advantage against major bosses is that the Mortar cannot be stunned by any enemy, as it is a cliff-based tower. In addition, this is useless against enemies with splash damage immunity, such as the Golden. It can, however, be effective in dealing with the enemies that it summons. Due to its slow firerate, this tower is weak against major bosses, such as the Molten Boss. The Commander can help remedy the Mortar's slow firerate.Due to its long range, akin to the Ranger, it can cover the entirety of a map, if cliffs permit it to do so.To negate some of the projectile delay, set the targeting to Closest so that the targeted enemies will have less opportunity to move away. This makes the Mortar less than ideal against extremely fast enemies, such as the Glitch.
Therefore, the intended target will not receive the full explosive damage if they have moved away from the explosion center.
The Mortar will always shoot where the target once stood upon firing. Firerate can be decreased slightly if the Mortar is set to Closest as there is less delay in the projectile hitting the path. In addition, maps with few cliff spots make the Mortar nearly useless. This will reduce the space for other cliff towers, such as the Ranger. Be aware that the Mortar is a cliff-based tower. #LIFE IS FEUDAL WIKI MORTAR UPGRADE#
However, the Mortar is slightly better than the Rocketeer because it has longer range and decreased firerate on some levels, but it has more expensive upgrade costs and a lower placement limit.
The Mortar is essentially a cliff-based Rocketeer. To see all the previous statistics of this tower, see the history page, while for the statistics without the Firerate Bug, visit the Firerate Bug page. Upgrades Level 1 - Improved Handling - $250 The Mortar has a placement limit of five per player. Additionally, it is immune to all stuns by default. It can also detect flying enemies, as long as they are not hidden. Since it is a splash tower, it completely ignores defense dealing full damage to the enemy. Enemies in the inner sphere will be dealt 100% of the stated damage, while the damage in the outer sphere is decreased linearly. The explosion is separated into two spheres. It has long range, but as the Mortar shoots farther away, the shells take longer to reach their target, therefore enemies that are fast enough may be able to evade the explosion partially or completely. The Mortar is a cliff tower that shoots rather slowly, but deals high damage over a large explosion radius. When you reach Level 75, you can claim the Mortar through Rewards. The Mortar is a long-range tower that can be unlocked by reaching Level 75 or purchased via a gamepass for 700.
